Dr. Nikolaos Tampouratzis

Assistant Professor at International Hellenic University (IHU)

My name is Nikolaos Tampouratzis. I'm an Assistant Professor at Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, at International Hellenic University. I received my Computer Science diploma (Ranked 3rd) from University of Crete (UoC, Greece) in 2012 with specialization in Hardware Design and Protocol Layers. I continued my studies in Technical University of Crete (TUC, Greece) where I received my Master diploma in Electronic and Computer Engineering in which I specialized in Computer Architecture and Hardware Design in 2014. From the same department I received my Ph.D (in 2018) with area of specialization the simulators for Heterogeneous Parallel and Distributed Systems. I have about 20 publications in international journals and conferences on embedded/hardware design, FPGAs and simulators. I have been involved for more than 10 years as a researcher in numerous European and National competing research programs (H2020, FP7, ARISTEIA) towards the design, development and validation of state-of-the-art technologies in embedded/hardware design and FPGAs. Currently, apart from IHU, I provide research and development services to Exascale Performance Systems (EXAPSYS) (award of the HiPEAC Tech Transfer Awards 2020 - link).
